STAFF

The Center was co-founded and is currently directed by Donald E. Hess.

Mr. Hess earned an undergraduate and Masters degree at the University of Kansas and pursued further postgraduate studies in counseling and psychology at KU and the University of Missouri at Kansas City while teaching in the Shawnee-Mission School District and then as a juvenile probation officer. He later served on the Lay Staff of Campus Crusade for Christ for ten years and studied at the Institute of Biblical Studies and Grace Fellowship International. He co-founded the Kansas City Christian Counseling Center in 1980 and was ordained to the Christian ministry in 1983. Don, and his wife, Jean were married in 1964 and have three grown children and seven grandchildren.

All full and part time staff are required to have a solid Biblical background, a graduate degree in Biblical counseling and, most importantly, a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
