The Center is a not-for-profit IRS 501(c)(3) ministry founded in 1980 to provide Biblically-based counseling and, therefore, does not charge for counseling. There are, of course, considerable expenses involved in offering counseling services.
Counselee Contributions: We encourage counselees to contribute according to the following Scriptural guidelines:
Give as God has prospered you – 1 Co. 16:1,2.
Give sacrificially – 2 Co. 8:3.
Give according to your ability – 2 Co. 8:12.
Give as you purpose in your heart – 2 Co. 9:7.
Give with a cheerful heart – 2 Co. 9:7.
Many request a specific guideline for giving. To that end we suggest a contribution amounting to 10 percent of the family’s gross weekly income, e.g. a weekly income of $500 would equal a $50 contribution.. Contributions exceeding $60 (the actual cost of a session) are appreciated because many counselees are unemployed or are otherwise unable to contribute.
Unsolicited Contributions: The Lord has consistently laid it on the hearts of individuals to contribute toward the needs of this ministry, without which we would be unable to continue. All contributions are tax deductible – and are greatly appreciated.
United Way Designated Contributions: It is possible for anyone who “gives at the office” to designate their giving to the Center. Simply ask your company’s Campaign Chairman for a Donor Choice Card and write in the name and address of the Center.
